Three Cheese Lasagna Recipe


One of my favourite comfort foods is lasagna, with lots of sauce and lots of cheese. Here's my recipe for my favourite lasagna.


Three Cheese Lasagna

For one 9" x 13" pan.
Ingredients:
- approx. 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar pasta sauce (my favourite is Ragu)
- lasagna noodles 
- approx. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- approx. 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 container of cottage cheese


1. Brown your ground beef on medium heat and add your pasta sauce. 
I empty the pasta jar and then add half a jar of water to get the remaining sauce out of the jar, and pour this all into the sauce mixture. 


2. Add entire container of cottage cheese to the sauce mixture and stir. Turn off the heat of the sauce. Shred the mozzarella.


3. Start layering your lasagna.
Sauce/meat.
Noodles.
Sauce/meat.
Mozzarella cheese.
Noodles.
Sauce/meat.
Parmesan cheese.
Noodles.
Sauce/meat.
Mozzarella & Parmesan cheese.
Noodles.
Sauce/meta.
Mozzarella & Paremesan cheese.


4. Once you are finished layering, put aluminum foil overtop of the dish and place in the oven.
Cook for approx. 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.


Once it is finished and you pull it out of the oven, allow it to sit and "stabilize" for approximately 5 minutes. Cut up and enjoy!
